The museum features meticulously recreated exhibits of D. Rozmarinas' colonial goods store, B. Rabinavičius’ iron supply depot, a period pharmacy, and the legendary Juozas Muralis barbershop — each reflecting the entrepreneurial spirit and everyday life of interwar Lithuania.

Indeed, Smetona-era Lithuania stood as a shining example of a proud national state in the midst of rapid growth and prosperity. Under the leadership of President Antanas Smetona, the country achieved remarkable social, cultural, and economic progress. It was a time when Lithuania was modernizing, strengthening, and shaping its future.

As a significant part of the interwar business landscape was shaped by Jewish entrepreneurs, the Interwar Museum proudly houses a remarkable Judaica collection. Among its most treasured pieces are silver Kiddush cups and Lithuania’s only known silver Torah crown.

Our archives feature thousands of unique artifacts once owned by interwar Lithuania’s cultural elite, high-ranking military officers, bankers, the president himself, and even the wealthiest Lithuanians of the time — the Vailokaitis brothers. This is more than a museum — it is a living narrative of Lithuania’s interwar prosperity, innovation, and the individuals who helped shape the nation.

Step into the authentic spirit of interwar Lithuania — visit the Interwar Museum.
